MIXED EMOTIONS

inside I'm crying
outside I'm smiling
no one notices
but its hard for me to control this
when you see me walk by
it doesn't look like it but I want to die
thoughts racing through my head
then comes the tears that I shed
how can I change
all the tears and rage
you say you understand
and all I need is a helping hand
that may be true
but first take a walk in my shoes
sadness, angers, and unbearable pain
you'll be taking a walk full of nothing but shame
as time moves slower
my self-esteem gets lower
am I nothing to this world
or am I just a worthless teenage girl?

Happy women's day to all the women and the young ladies out there trying to make things work out for themselves and families, strong enough to face their battles alone, hiding the pains and smiling out no matter the cost.        

PRETENCE

PRETENCE

You pretend like you care,

When you see me cry.

You pretend you feel the pains I feel,

When I needed you the most.

Out there, there are many of me,

But in my presence,

You wished you could always be with me,

That was all pretence.

You pretend I make sense, but deep down you,

I made no sense.

You force a smile on your face,

And pretend like all is well,

You joked with me, laughed at my jokes,

But all were pretence.

Now I know you never meant those words,

They were all pretence.

BELIEVE

In life, things happen, both the good and bad. we all need to run that race on the right track to success. if you think things are falling apart for, they are not going the way you planned it, all you gat to do is believe and stay strong, do not give, the best is yet to come, don't think your hard work will just go in vain. Think big and believe you can

get there someday
